Ingredients

  • Potatoes

  • Salt

  • Pepper

  • Vegetable oil

  • Paprika (optional)

  • Onion powder (optional)

Equipment

  • Stock pot or saucepan

  • Cast iron pan

Instructions

  1. Optionally, peel the potates. Or just give them a solid rinse.

  2. Dice them.

  3. Boil them, about 10 minutes or until they pierce easily with a fork. This boiling is key.

  4. Strain them.

  5. Heat up a cast iron pan, coat generously with oil, then add in the boiled potatoes.

  6. Cook and stir until all sides are slightly crisped.

  7. Season.

  8. Cool and serve.
