Duck breast

Ingredients

  • Duck breast with skin on

  • Salt

  • Pepper

Instructions

  1. Liberally season the duck breast all around with salt and pepper.

  2. Put duck breast skin side down on cold oven-safe pan, no oil.

  3. Turn heat up to medium-high. Once skin is slightly crispy, flip and cook the meat side.

  4. Flip the duck onto skin side, and place in 400 degree Fahrenheit oven for 6-8 minutes. Make sure to not overcook it.

  5. Remove duck and rest at room temperature.

  6. Slice and serve.

Tips

  • Slight pink in the center is ideal.

  • Reserve the duck fat. It’s great for cooking other meals.
